Tavastia Proper Local Museum Day
Steam trains run until 4:00 PM. The café and narrow gauge museum at Minkiö station are open, but unfortunately, the hand car rental is not open when the trains are running.
The trains have both normal passenger carriages and open summer carriages, so you can travel in the fresh air or in a regular carriage.
In honor of Tavastia Proper Local Museum Day, five free guided tours of the Minkiö station area and locomotive sheds are offered during the day. The tours will explore the history of the Jokioinen Railway and the rolling stock on display at the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum. The tours are led by the Minkiö Station Manager.
Free guided tours
The guided tours last half an hour and start in front of Minkiö station at 9:50, 11:10, 12:25, 14:00 and the last tour at 15:15.
