The first train of the year 2011 ran on Saturday April 9 between Minkiö and Humppila. The train was operated by the TU4 diesel locomotive without wagons. The condition of railway line was inspected after long and hard winter period. TU4 had to be also tested after maintenance works. On the same trip the train crew cut some trees and bushes next to the line at Humppila.
The track made the winter with no major damages. Also TU4 locomotive worked well. The pneumatic brake system of the locomotive was renoved at winter. Locomotive was also equipped with a cabin heater.
Charter train traffic season of Jokioinen Museum Railway will begin in May. Scheduled steam train traffic starts on June 5., when railway operator, the Museum Railway Association, will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
